An Amazing Circus of Phonograms Act 1

Would you like to make learning the multiletter phonograms a memorable experience?

How the book was born:

This is a continuation of my first book, A Colorful Journey Through the Land of Talking Letters. I have never come across a book that presents all of the multiletter phonograms in such a way as to make it enjoyable for the child to learn. These 22 animated fantastic phonograms participating in the humorous antics of their circus friends make it an unforgettable experience for early learners to discover their sounds.

There are 70 phonograms of the English language which a child should learn in order to read, write and spell most words at an early age. Learning to read is like breaking a code - and if they already know the sounds of the 26 letters of the alphabet, they are neary there! Next up are those 44 pesky multiletter phonograms, with some making more than one sound like the phonogram "ea" making the long "a" sound as in "break," the short sound of "e" as in "bread , or the long sound of "e" as in "sea."
In the 35 pages of colorful illustrations, a clever ringmaster presents an amazing circus of 22 of these funny and fantastic phonograms. As your child hears their hilarious rhyming stories, they'll begin to spy the secret sounds hidden in the words...and unlock the key to reading!

"Mary Jo's books, A Colorful Journey Through the Land of Talking Letters, and An Amazing Circus of Phonograms - Act 1, have been a great way to introduce letters and sounds in a fun and interesting way. My Kindergarteners love the different stories and listening for the sounds."
